Colin works his technical magic on shoots and in the editing studio. His skill in crafting light and rigging gear ensures that everything is captured with intention and quality in mind. Colin is a self-taught artist with a background in illustration, graphic design, video production, and photography. He is also a passionate outdoorsman and enjoys camping, hiking, and biking. Like Sara, he enjoys spending time snuggling and adventuring with their rescue dog Arrow.
Arrow takes her role at Passion House very seriously. She ensures everyone takes breaks for snacks, walks, and cuddles. She was born in Arkansas but was rescued and brought to Colorado by the wonderful folks at Animal Friends Alliance. 3 months later she found her forever home with the Hazard family. Arrow enjoys sunbathing and spending time with friends and family. On rainy days she prefers to lounge on the couch with plenty of blankets to keep her comfy.
Sara is the driving force behind Passion House. She’s involved in every step of the creative process. From pre-production to post-production, she ensures that things run smoothly. She is a self-taught artist with a background in photography, social media marketing, creative direction, and customer experience. She is also a proud dog mom and an advocate for rescue dogs. She enjoys time spent outdoors, visiting art galleries and markets, and loves traveling to new places.
In 2016 they became members and sellers at the Eugene Saturday Market, the longest-running outdoor art market in the country. Through their experience selling their work and connecting with the other members, they formed a deep understanding of and respect for just how much passion and effort goes into running an artisan business. It quickly became clear to them just how many beautiful stories were waiting to be told in the art community and how these businesses would benefit from Sara and Colin’s unique ability to bring these stories to life through photography and video.
With this new dream in mind, they moved back to Colorado in 2018 to get married and build a life closer to their families. As soon as they settled into Northern Colorado they got to work turning their dream business into a reality, and just one year later Passion House was born.
While Passion House got its start in 2019, both Sara and Colin have had a lifelong passion for the art community. Their shared love of art and creativity is one of the many reasons the two felt drawn to each other.
Not long after meeting in 2011, they decided to leave their home state of Colorado and try out life in Oregon, where they lived for the next 7 years. They immersed themselves in the local creative community, attending art shows, gallery openings, and maker markets whenever they had the chance.
